Short version: look freely, share links freely — but the photography and film here is our work, and it stays ours unless we license it to you.
The work is the point
Everything on this site — photography, video, writing, design — is owned by Adventure Storytelling Media (operated by Sindbad Horizon, Boulder, Colorado) or used with permission. Publishing it here is not a license to reuse it. Don't download, copy, republish, or use it commercially without written permission; don't strip credits or watermarks; and don't use any of it to train machine-learning or generative-AI systems, or include it in datasets built for that purpose. Licensing is available and the answer is often yes — just ask.
Licensing on this site
Nothing on this site is a binding offer. Licensing of photography or footage runs on a written agreement we both sign — and if that agreement says something different from this page, the agreement wins.
Reasonable use
Don't use the site to break the law, don't try to break into it, don't scrape it at a volume that hurts it for everyone else, and don't pretend to be us or to speak for us.
Links elsewhere
We link out to other sites and to our profiles on social platforms. Those destinations run under their own terms and privacy policies, not ours.
No warranty, limited liability
The site is provided "as is." We keep it accurate and running as best we can, but we don't promise it's error-free, and nothing here is professional advice for your specific situation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this site; nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.
Housekeeping
These terms are governed by Colorado law, and disputes belong in Colorado courts. If we update the terms, the date below changes with them; continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
